From our front window I saw a Mockingbird fly into a dark spot in a tree. I went outside and found that the dark spot was a nest....as I had hoped. I must find that mirror on an extension to look inside the nest.
Here is one of the many trains that going by each day....I am standing on the corner of our front yard
We have very friskey squirrels or perhaps they are rabid. In the morning when they first come down from the tree they jump and roll and even do complete somersaults (I checked the spelling). But in the heat of the afternoon they just try to stay cool.
A heavy rain cooled us off to eighty degrees~
There had to be something of fifty plus of these Turkey Vultures surrounding this house just a mile from here....It seems that they are being fed....bowls of something throughout the yard~

At first all I could see was one eyeball. A rock with an eyeball. I dug a bit deeper and found another eyeball....then the grin appeared and I knew, "We have got to get him out of there."
It's taking some time due to the density of the soil and roots.
And here he is. A cement frog sitting contentedly...Contemplating his journey and his great luck at returning to the garden, above ground
The white fence you see on the left....we are just on the other side of that~So, we "hear the train a coming" throughout the day~and love it~

This is the road we travel on...OK....it is a side road but I like to think of it as our main road:)

Happy Birthday Claudia
A huge Magnolia Tree in blossom in the side yard.
The blossoms open in the morning and close in the evening~each blossom lasts about three days.
~We had a house in Battleboro North Carolina~ (as in... "I had a house in Africa")
