Pi meets mama kitty....
This is kind of funny....I am trying to reassure them but I sound freaked out:)...I was nervous about conflict...but, it went well.
Flower artist Makoto Azuma's stunning arrangements. Azuma began his career as a flower artist in 2002 with the opening of the flower shop JARDINS des FLEURS. He partnered with photographer Shiinoki Shunsuketo to open the flower shop. Around 2005 Azuma began to explore a new form of floral design that he called botanical sculpture, the work for which he is now known.
"I see flowers as symbolizing life," he replied. "When a flower is cut and removed from the soil, it begins a new life.
His "Iced Flowers" lined the runway at a fashion show....
He launched one bouquet into space....
Mr. Azuma SCULPTS A SPIRAL OF 10,000 FLOWERS
Mr. Azuma also fills jars with flowers....
Well, as you can see in the picture below, I too dabble in artistic flower expression....I'm doing an ice project next....The field display and the space launch of a bouquet....well, I could throw a bouquet into the air, have it land on the ground and achieve both projects at once.....Look for that project in the next edition of Battleboro Country.
Ballymaloe Irish Brown Bread
A most delicious Sunday breakfast this morning.
Ballymaloe Irish Brown Bread. Super simple and oh so tasty with a great crunchy crust. Thank you Beth for the King Arthur Irish Flour that made for the more course (yum) texture.

Harvested Cotton October 23rd
This is the first time I have seen harvested cotton. There are thirteen to fifteen bales of cotton in one of these "modules". Each bale weighs about five hundred pounds.
Cotton is worth about seventy cents a pound. So that's a pretty penny sitting beside the road:) And a ton of work, I don't even want to think about the chemicals.
Actually I just looked up the chemicals...It's not good. There are twenty or more insects, diseases and then there are the weeds that affect cotton. Each one of the problems is handled with all kinds of different chemicals....or course...And that's just cotton....tobacco, sweet potatoes, peanuts, sage, soybeans, corn....ugh:(
It started out as a cheerful post.....
