This little fella jumped out when I was digging in the dirt today. It's hard to see in this picture but the tail is a shiny blue. While looking up what kind of lizard he might be I learned this fun fact....
North Carolina has the most venomous snake bites of any state in the U.S., according to the North Carolina Cooperative Extension.
Good reason for me to get out while the weather is still on the cool side....I want to eliminate as many snake hiding places as possible. Perhaps place this sign in the yard...
